His heart diamond

A poem (of sorts) on marriage

When a man gives a women a diamond ring, he is giving her his heart, in the shape of a diamond, for her safekeeping.

The women accepts the responsibility to reflect his light with the diamond given. She is the guardian of his heart, shining light to illuminate his strengths and vulnerabilities.

But sometimes, the diamond doesn't shine. She can't find the light, and the man loses faith in himself.

It isn't anyone's fault. Sometimes the light and diamond are not a good match. No one can see it.

Sometimes the diamond get reshaped through burning in fire and find the light.

Sometimes it's best to return the diamond and his heart to the man, so that he can find a different light.

Nothing gets written if the diamond is not put through the test of light.
