A Tigress Bunny

This poem is inspired by my boyfriend, who said that I look like a tigress.

A scared bunny,

Cute and fuzzy as can be,

Innocent and pure,

Hopping from place to place, person to person,

Bringing joy and cheer to others,

Living unaware of its power.

From the outside, the bunny’s path seems joyful.

But inside, the bunny is constantly working to calm her fears.

Always sniffing for danger,

Always seeking for someone to protect her, shelter her.

Always looking for someone to pat her, love her.

The bunny is unaware of a tigress within her,

Waiting for the opportunity to emerge,

To show her what she is made of.

To show her the power she always had within.

The tigress is powerful, more powerful than any protection.

The tigress is full of love, more love than any other can give.

The tigress is magnetic, its radiance draws more people than any cuteness can muster.

The tigress is full of faith, its strength pushes bunny to go beyond any safety zone it seeks.

Without knowing, the tigress within is what bunny has always been seeking.

The tigress is here. Once it’s out, it can’t be hidden.

Once it’s out, it can’t be forgotten.

The tigress will show the world her majesty,

And inspire many to find their own mighty tigress within.
